Now that forums are usually optimized so that you can view them on your phone it got me wondering how many people browse forums on their phone as well as say on a desktop PC or laptop as well.

I myself tend to browse forums on my phone daily if I am away from my PC or my laptop.

Do you ever browse forums on your phone?

I browse them all time personally. I use whatever device I have handy.

Yes, but I don't usually post on them on mobile.

Yes.. most of the time, I use my phone to browse stuff these days.
Well, unless it's a weekend, I kinda avoid my laptop >> Anyway, most of the forums are responsive these days...so it just makes me lazy to make use of my laptop just to browse stuff >>

Yep I do browse forums on my phone quite often. It's great that pretty much all forum software these days are mobile friendly right out of the box and you don't have to worry about downloading that terrible Tapatalk app or having to zoom in to visit a forum.

I am on my smartphone most of the time. It's why I tend to browse most forums I use on it. Forums are mobile friendly and it makes it easy for me.

Xenforo is very mobile friendly.
I don't like vBulletin though, the dimensions are messed on mobile devices in desktop mode. I shouldn't have to scroll to see the entire discussion.
And the mobile version of the site lacks features and information that should be available such as last thread reply within sub-forums etc etc

I won't log in using my phone, but I'll check on the forums I own or where I'm on staff to see how things are going. I probably check a few times during the day and if I get up in the middle of the night, I'll check again.

I login using my phone but it's rare I use it at all to post on my forum or anything.

Yes, when I am on the move. I travel a lot during certain time slots. Have nothing but a smartphone to stay online.

I am the same, I do not mind browsing them on my phone but when it comes to posting on them, I do not like to do that as I feel as though my typing can be a little sloppy on my phone and I feel better posting on my laptop or desktop.

All of the time. I like to check out Off Topix once in a while to see what's going on.

The only forums I browse on my phone are two Jcink forums, including my own, from the web browser. I use the web app feature for Admin Junkies, though.

Oh you mean push notifications?
So is there an admin junkies app on the app store? I don’t see Ny results on the iOS app store when searching admin junkies, what’s the app called?
Yeah, push notifications.

There's not an "app" for it, but you can turn it into one. When you're on Admin Junkies in the Safari web browser you can click the middle button at the bottom with the up arrow, and then select "Add to Home Screen" and there you have it, what is essentially an app for the website with push notifications, if enabled from the user control panel.
