Everyone who knows me, knows I'm forgetful and have post-it notes all over and reminders in my phone. That said, I really need to rant about the elderly ladies at my church who are even more forgetful that I am and DON'T use any reminders.

At the end of last year I began planning a baby shower for a couple at our church. I spoke with two of the ladies who are in the group that do social functions and we agreed on a date and that we would keep it simple and just serve cake. Last week, a different lady emailed me saying that the ladies were stunned that I had the secretary post a date in the bulletin. They thought I just willy nilly chose a date! I pointed them to the email that NONE of them replied to and the email addresses are the same one I've been writing back and forth with for the past 10 years.

It was aggravating that they were upset with me for choosing a date and saying we'd have cake as if I did this all on my own. Now I feel it's on my own since they can't remember anything.

I’m so angry with myself. I got a set of two paintings with frames from IKEA to hang on one side of a window. I’d had something else there before, a small pegboard with letters, but decided to replace it with one of the paintings, using the existing holder.
It didn’t look bad, a bit bigger than I wanted, but good enough for now. I wasn’t planning to spend much, and it kept the wall from looking too empty. But then, just a few minutes later, I heard a loud noise it had fallen down. I was busy and didn’t give it much thought, so I just hung it back up. Of course, not long after, it fell again, and this time, the frame broke.:(
I used some glue to fix the frame and am waiting to see how it looks tomorrow. There are a few small chipped areas, but I might use a black marker to hide them since the frame is black. I ended up swapping the image to the second painting frame as it was a set of two with different picture and will hang that instead.
I can could always get another cheap frame for the first painting, but I really don’t want to spend more on it, it’s not worth it for this images. I’m just so annoyed with myself for being careless and not checking whether it was strong enough to hold :slaphead:
