You might have two completely different points of interest thus owning two different boards.No offence to anyone who owns more than one, but I have never understood the point in owning two or more forums as a root owner. As if it isn't hard enough to maintain and commit yourself to one board, why would you want to have your time divided in maintaining two boards ? It's against all odds imo. Honestly, I agree with you 100%, I can't even fathom trying to run another board. I did try once and it was hectic as hell. I say I am property of the forum I co-run because it just feels weird working on other things. lol But that doesn't mean that I am against other people having more than one forum.
In my case I was younger and had more energy and time, so I ran a couple of forums and helped run a lot more. It wasn't perfect, but we were better off without Facebook thats for sure.
I meant in the golden age of forums, it was a wonderful time.
By the way, I was an administrator (founder) of a community that shared content through direct downloads. At the time of phpBB2
I got to have more than 5000 daily active users. It was crazy, it was perfect! 🤪🤣

I remember my forum was hosted on SiteGround; (by the way, is good hosting provider.) Near this day, those statistics are almost impossible... because of social media.

Just one. I was running two at the same time back in 2013-2014, and it was a lot to try to balance at once.
2 in the past but not at the same time however that was a long time ago.
I've managed to get my list down to 3 now 
One of them is getting the most attention. The other one could be the same too if I market it more. The third one is an iffy but really depends on the weather

At the moment I currently own one forum that I am in the process of getting ready to open up and I am also a co-owner of another forum as well. Throughout my years of owning forums, I have owned at least 4 before this one and the longest-running one was the last one that I had from 2009 - 2017 when I had to close it due to the hosting price increasing above my budget.
I was a member of Forum Advertiser back in the day.#2 and #3 were a million years ago
