I felt like I was getting shelled, lol. So many fireworks going off. My Border Collie was living in my lap tonight, lol. We don't celebrate, but it's nice others are having fun.
Aw, I remember when we had our dog that she would shake for hours! I hated the 4th because of that.
Yeah, she was absolutely terrified last night. Glad it's over until new years
I napped, did forum work, watched YouTube vids and played 4 games of Jeopardy where my winnings are over $1.2M. I didn't waste 24 hours watching eating competitions or tennis. 
Do you fear shootings on this date? Just a thought... due to the numerous shootings, do you struggle to distinguish between the sound of fireworks and what may actually be a gun shot? I'd be frightened if it were me. Honestly, glad I don't live in the USA. No offence to anyone - because, just to clarify, I'm not anti-American or anything like that, and I respect all ppls and groupsI felt like I was getting shelled, lol. So many fireworks going off. That sucks, hope work is going smoothly for you!
I usually take the day after off as a vacation day, its hard to sleep with all the fireworks going off until well past 11pm.
We went to a BBQ that started at 4pm, staying there until it got dark / 5 hours later was the plan but it was hot and there were a lot of flies. I was annoyed so we went home before it got dark. Watched fireworks from my back porch, trees blocked a lot of them but I could see a fair amount.

Nothing else eventful happened. No one wanted to barbecue or see fireworks so that dog was the highlight carrying a tune lol.Sounds like fun.

It was cool, my partner's brother's house. I learned how to play Yahtzee, everyone was surprised I never played that game before. It was fun so I ordered a Yahtzee game on amazon.
