Do you tend to sleep through the night without waking? If not, what usually wakes you up?

Absolutely not, haven't slept through a night in years. I only get about two hours a night, and when I do sleep it's restless.

never.

even when I was a kid, I remember just staying up all night howling.

I have insomnia pretty bad, usually leading to half an hour sleep or less

things that wake me up (but arn't limited to)

- I am thirsty and need a drink

- incontinence issues

- the weather outside

- any light (even if it's just a tiny tiny bit)

- any noise

- hunger

- my body telling me I should be awake

I'm such a light sleeper, it's almost not worth sleeping

nope I always wake up and have to go to the bathroom. I think that has always been an issue even before I ended up being diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.

Same since my diagnoses. Some nights I can't stop taking trips the the bathroom.

I have moderate sleep apnea, and honestly the CPAP is not terrible. I didn't care for it at first, and still am not married to it. I use it a lot more than I used to, but there's nights I will admit to not using it. lol

I've been using mine since I got it. There are some nights I cannot sleep with it and I'm up all hours because it's hard to sleep on it.

Mine tattles on me if I don't use it, lol. Next thing I know I get a call from my sleep doctor asking what happened. Ugh.

I have nights like that, too. No matter how hard you try it's still an apparatus

Yes, same. Mine does too but my sleep doctor doesn't even call me or anything.

How I was a few nights ago...it was a pain to fall asleep.

Likewise. This has deterred me from "not" using it. There's a few times I've dozed off in the evenings where my girlfriend will wake me up and make me put the mask on.

Nope; between keeping my legs propped up (to keep excess fluid from accumulating in them) and getting up to take the occasional whiz (hey, 1'm 47 years; I'm going to do that once a night anyway!) its' a rare night when I can sleep straight through to morning without waking up.

Fluid in your legs?

Have you ever considered a vibrating board? I get leg cramps during sleep myself, although I have worked a lot of that out. The last thing I do before bed is stand on the board for 15 minutes and another 8 minutes shaking one leg or the other. It helps drain the lymphatic system. How to Use a Vibration Plate for Lymphatic Drainage

I love mine and the rougher the vibration the better. I also exercise my arms and back on it, do squats and standing abs, although not all at once. What I noticed is that I am inclined to old lady lumpy legs unless I work out, hike or walk. Three months on this thing and I had tennis playing legs. I was thrilled. I didn't do anything but stand on the board. The endorphins are nice, too.

I usually wake up to pee and then go right back to sleep.

Your vibrating board routine sounds intriguing and definitely worth trying.
I also get leg cramps upon awaking from sleep sometimes; I have read that leg cramps can be caused by a magnesium deficiency. I ran that by my Dr. & she approved so I have tried that & it has all but eliminated those cramps. (y) So now I take a daily dose of citrate-magnesium.

That looks quite interesting, I'll have to talk to my doctor about this!
