We Muslims ain't terrorists.

I feel sorry whenever I turn on the TV and watch some foreign news channel that describe muslims as terrorists so let me explain few things.

1- Terrorist is not a term that should be linked to Muslims. It should be linked to everybody who practices deadly violence against innocent people and those are not always muslims. They can be christians, they can be jews, they can be atheists, etc...

2- Al Qaeda and whats like it are not even muslims. Islam calls for modesty, peace and tranquility, even if these guys use muslim terms and reason their murdering and killing as Jihad.

3- In our holy book, The Quran, A true muslim is this who lives in peace and harmony with others. A true muslim is that who only attacks those who start attacking him or his family. Jihad as a term means "defending our lands and families from external attacks" So what Al Qaeda or Taliban is doing is far away from that term, I feel so sad that this term is misused and misunderstood by many people, but in fact as I said, its a very honourable term.

The problem is it just seems to be easier to label one group for political and with the media even financially benefits to just label the whole group. It is unfortunate, but human beings are pretty extreme most of the time.

I feel bad that you felt the need to create this thread. In every ethnic and religious group there are people who do bad things. Unfortunately, there are also ignorant people who think that just because a person belongs to a certain ethnic or religious group then 'all' of them are bad. The diaries, translated from Arabic to English by government translators, contain revelatory details about the Afghan civil war, the birth of Al-Qaeda, the rise of international terrorism and the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan after 9/11.

Now this Muslim is a hero and has guts standing up against what hundreds of millions of other Muslims would love to see him dead for saying such things he does. He is screaming out in a vacuum that no one can hear because his view point is so rare among his religion. I could excuse the religion if it was just some small radical side blowing up people. And say the majority cant be like this. But the majority do support there activities even if they are not violent. And worse yet the majority support sharia law and bondage like cattle with over a billion women in every Middle Eastern Muslim country leaving them with no freedoms or rights. To me that makes ALMOST the entire religion evil beyond words! Now if the majority of Muslims are peace loving people where are the protests and marching in the streets from them to give women equal rights? I ask where are the millions of muslim men standing up? Where? Tell me please.

No other religion, sect, atheist right now is blowing up people around the world. In the middle east chopping off heads and trying to create genocide on all Christians in that part of the world.

Muslims in Somalia seized two Christians, a mother of two daughters and her cousin, and after calling the entire village to gather together, they beheaded them in cold blood. The Muslims were so absent of shame, that they even had the woman’s two daughters, ages 8 and 15, watch their own mother get beheaded. The mother’s name was Sadia Ali Omar, and the cousin who was also beheaded was Osman Mohamoud Moge.
The 8 year old daughter weeped and begged for someone to save their mother, but nobody came, and the two innocent girls had no choice but to endure the sight of their beloved being savagely decapitated by these heathens. Before they beheaded them, the Muslims proclaimed:


We know these two people are Christians who recently came back from Kenya – we want to wipe out any underground Christian living inside of mujahidin [jihadists’] area

One resident said that they were captured after suspicions were raised because the two Christians were not attending Friday prayers as frequently as is expected in Muslim lands.

The two people who were killed on many occasions did not take Friday prayers seriously, especially Omar, who claimed that she was praying in her house

The two daughters were taken in to an undisclosed location for protection, and still there is fear that the Muslims will try to track them down to slaughter them just as they did to their mother. One resident said:

We are afraid that the Al Shabaab might continue monitoring these two children and eventually kill them just like their mother.

This is just one of the stories that escaped the indifference of the media toward the suffering of Christians. There are countless others that have gone unreported. Imagine how many martyrs there are, which have not even been grasped by our knowledge. Idleness in the face of evil is just another form of idolatry. We can no longer be careless, there is no excuse. We either help the persecuted, or join the world. This is the only choice we have. Please make a donation to save Christian lives in the Muslim world. I know there are good Muslims out there like Dr. Jasser but where are the millions who should be speaking out like this man?

In most cases, they can't speak out.

If they did, in, say, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, etc, they wouldn't for long. To say anything against the rulers is forbidden. It is even discouraged in those Islamic states, like Kuwait, who are more, how shall we put it? "Progressive."

Also, if I may speak for him for a moment, our friend is simply saying that HE isn't a terrorist, and that he probably doesn't know any, and he doesn't like being painted as one simply because he is Muslim. Which I agree with.

He is NOT speaking for the Boko Haram, who admit they are terrorists and that they are attacking innocents with the express purpose of furthering their agenda. And if they get a chance, they'll kill you too. And, for that matter, they'd kill Madi because he wasn't one of them, and because he can read and write a Western Language, which is proof enough that he's gone over to the infidels.

He is also not speaking for the Taliban who in spite of their name, are not "religious students", but an army and a political party who has no problem advocating terror. They'd also kill Madi because he isn't Muslim enough.

There are Millions in the U.K. and they have no problems protesting in the tens of thousands against Google because they were offended. And Europe gets protests all the time but you only seem to see the Anti American protests and the Anti French protests when they banned the face veil. But I dont ever remember seeing the protests marching in the streets to free hundreds of millions of women from slavery in the middle east. Or that protest for equal rights for women in the middle east. But some cartoon and they are out there lickity split ready to burn flags and such but protest to stop the Mutilation of over 125 million women forced to endure Female Genital Mutilation. Not so much!! Those statistics I posted are down right scary on the subject. All I hear is the occasional men like Doctor Jasser with the guts to say something. Every other religion seems to be able to protest on the wrongs happening with there beliefs and not just what offends them. I just sure hope more come out in this one in my life time.

And for that matter I am just as angry with all these womens rights groups who seem to forget about this modern day slavery of hundreds of millions with no rights. But that is for another topic.

Agreed but its the lack of protest among the majority against terrorism, sharia, womens rights etc. that is the problem. But have no problem protesting with death threats on someones free speech to have a different opinion on something they find offensive. The practice HAS NOTHING to do with Islam, it is not mandated by either the Prophet or the Qua'ran, and is not required by anything other than a tradition which serves no purpose other than to harm women.

The male equivalent would not be the traditional removal of the foreskin but would more accurately be represented by the amputation of approximately half of the length of the penis. Calling a muslim a terrorist is racist. I'm not much into these political talks though I seriously do find it offencive when somebody calls my faith/my religion terrorists. I know it's been a harsh history though terrorists are all sorts. Indians/christians/Jews and muslims though if you're a muslim (I am) you should not be pointed out as racist, their are billions of muslims, for one person or groups fault you cannot blame them all.

But Saudi Arabia just said that all atheists are.

Not all Muslims are terrorists but again look at those statistics and tell me most are not radicalized. And this topic just like anytime its brought conviently bypasses the what a billion women with no rights who are basically slaves in the middle east. And seems they are pushing that agenda in Europe with Sharia law. Where are more then just a rare few Muslims standing up against this. I see many Muslim women with the guts to speak out after being brutalized and escaped the oppression. But the men in that society are like crickets.

There IS no agreed upon "International Book of Sharia".

For example, EVERYBODY knows what the Biblical Ten Commandments are. The list is essentially the same in Chinese as it is in German as it is in English.

No so with Sharia. How it is implemented in a town in Turkey is different than it is in a city in Egypt than from a district in Pakistan, and so on.

It is up to the local elders and the Iman and whoever else they decide is involved to enforce their version of the Islamic Law.

YES, it is based on the Holy Qur'an, and whatever other related texts they accept, but how it is implemented, what is and is not allowed, and what they do when somebody says you broke a rule is up to the local elders.
