Why Prisons Paint Their Walls Bubblegum Pink

For years prisons, drunk tanks, prisons and other locations of control have painted their walls pink because it is widely believed that pink subdues people psychologically. But what is the science behind this belief?

Your thoughts on this bubblegum pink?

Just speaking from experience......

The walls were either pink, baby diaper yellow, sinus-infection-snot green, or an almost indescribably bland pastel-beige.

i can believe it.............the soviets did a lot of research into this sort of thing and found a light chromatic green was a relaxing colour so they painted the insides of cockpits of fighter jets that colour
