Futile Debate Topics

Any topic can be futile if those participating have a closed mind or make an unreasonable argument.
Most debates will never be resolved. Most people have a mindset going into a debate. No matter how many facts you present, they are not going to change their mind. It becomes futile to debate any longer when no matter what facts you present, they refuse to accept them.
for instance:
Things sometimes just dont translate well over the internet when it comes to general discussions. I make the mistake of not just sticking with politics and photography sometimes and I eventually pay the price like now on another forum. We were talking about if people need to be with someone and I make a comment I think almost all of us need to be with someone or it effects there health and stability in life. And wham! I got angry all over me like mosquitoes on a warm wet night.

I will openly admit when it comes to politics my mind is set and it is not changing. Now if you would have talked to me 14 years ago just after 911 I was going through a transition and you would have then gotten more of a "open mind", but now my opinions are set in stone.
Some people cannot stand the truth being openly stated.

In politics I can deal with people and the anger with the back and forth. But when it is what I think is a friendly discussion I remember why I prefer face to face talking with the general things in life. I post on the political forums because it is my daily way of just letting out my anger as a release.
