Until 5 years ago, I was living with my parents along with my wife and a kid. Then we moved to another place because we had to enroll our kids to a school and there were no good schools in my parents' place. Have you lived with your parents as an adult?

No.
I was working at age 18, so a friend & I moved to an apartment. Wanted independence from our parents.

After HS, i went to college and did come home and live there for the summers. After college however, i got an apt and never lived at home again. I would have no issue if any of my adult children wanted to live at home. Times are difficult and if they needed to move home, that would fine. However, i would expect they would help take care of the home, contribute to expenses, etc.

Yes, I lived with them for most of my adult life. They wouldn't let me leave.

I moved out when I was barely 18. I didn't get along with my parents back then. I've been out ever since.

I did for a short time. Americans in particular have this idiotic stigma surrounding adult kids living with parents. The moment you tell people you're a grown adult living at home, people judge you. They wonder if you're a bum, if you're physically or mentally disabled or whatever else. America has fostered this mentality that all children should be moved out by the time they are 18.

In Europe and other Asian countries, it is perfectly normal, acceptable and even WELCOMED by the parents for their child to remain at home with them. I'd really like to know what idiot American decided it was shameful to live at home as an adult.

Still live with my mother... I'd love to move out but I don't know where to start, nevermind where to go...

After high school, I lived on campus for most of my time in college. Once I graduated college, I quickly got a job that consisted of nonstop travel. I kept all my belongings at my parents' house, but I was never there. Once I decided I would no longer do the whole traveling thing, I got my own place. Truly moved out when I was 23.

The only time I lived with my parents as an adult is when my mom lived with me in my apartment for about a year. Before then, I left at 18 and haven't lived with them since.

I've been supporting myself since I was 18 years old, so no I never lived with my parents as an adult.

I didn't move out of my parents until was 25,26 i think... i moved out, and move backed alot haha

I lived with my parents till when I was 23 years old. There were always challenges with them setting rules that always seemed like they wanted to control me. But I always had to adjust to their rules because it was their house.
