It’s sort of ironic that Wikipedia chose to release its official Wikipedia app on the day it is choosing to “black out” in protest of SOPA and PIPA, but we’re happy it’s here nonetheless.​



[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]In addition to being able to view every article in mobile-friendly format, you can save them for offline use later. You can also use your GPS to search for nearby articles (like we saw in Wikitude). You can also share articles through the official Android channels, which is convenient.

[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Like they said. Pretty weird for a release date. But I'm happy. I use wiki all the time, and a phone optimized version is nice to hear.
 
Not that weird a release date. Everyone downloading and trying it would immediately get the message.
